Let's Go Fishing!
What to bring
Please travel light because there isn't much storage room on the boat. Please use my cooler. Bring a good pair of polarized sunglasses, sunscreen and maybe a light windbreaker if it's cool. We have raingear. There are no restrooms on the boat. Ladies ... it might be best to skip that 2nd cup of coffee in the morning. But, we can make stops for bathroom breaks if necessary.
What to expect
Expect to have fun. Even a fishless day on the water is fun. Fortunately, we rarely go fishless! Please tell us what you'd like to do. Hard fishing? Light fishing? Some fishing and a little Eco Tour? Do you need fish for the dinner table? We provide drinks and we'll clean your catch. No, you will not get seasick. We fish protected waters .... not the stomach turning swells in the Gulf.
What will we catch?
Catching fish is not easy! There are hundreds of variables that change constantly: water temperature, tides, winds, water clarity, baitfish, currents, etc. Based upon the most recent patterns and successes, we'll let you know what the best opportunities are. The day might best be spent in the back country for snook and redfish or it might be better spent inshore for tarpon or near shore for mackerel or bonita. And if we have kids aboard, size does not matter. Kids need lots of action lest they get bored. Capt Fred Rossiter is a "Certified Kid Specialist!"
